How do I sell an AI character, and what does the buyer actually get?
Characters have been sold in Discord DMs for years: a PSD, a PayPal transfer, a promise. The problem was never finding a buyer. It was that nothing about the sale was definite — not what was sold, not what the buyer could do with it, not whether the seller could sell it again next week. A registry makes each of those definite before money moves.
What is being sold
A registered character is a pack: the finalized specification, the reference pictures, the registry ID with its version history, and every work bound to that character alone — songs, videos, images, each with its own authorship record. In an assignment the whole pack moves to the buyer's account and the transfer is written as a dated event on the character's public page. In a licence the buyer gets a copy and a scope — exclusive or not, what for, how long — and you keep the original. Works bound to more than one of your characters stay with you; that is the rule that keeps a sale from taking a shared song with it. What actually moves lists it item by item.
The three steps
- List. Switch the character's market mode from showcase to assignment or licence, set an asking price and a currency. Buyers contact you through the thread on the character's page; there is one thread per buyer per character and it keeps the whole history.
- Draft and sign. Open a deal from the thread. A contract template is filled in with the registry ID, the spec fingerprint, the bound works and the price; both sides edit the negotiable parts, then sign. The signed text is fingerprinted, so it cannot drift afterwards. If you change the character mid-negotiation, the draft is re-versioned and both signatures are cleared — nobody signs for a pack that has changed under them.
- Pay and transfer. The buyer pays you directly — bank, PayPal, whatever you both agreed — and reports it; you confirm. We never hold the money. On confirmation the pack moves, the transfer event is written, and the record is anchored that night. Both sides get a Deal Record with the fingerprints, the signatures and the transfer.
The fee
Registration, listing, threads and drafting cost nothing. When a character sells, the seller pays a deal fee of 5% of the price, minimum US$15, to release the transfer. There is no subscription and no charge on works, showcases or licences that never happen. What a character sale actually costs compares this with the usual routes.
What the buyer can check before paying
Everything that matters: the character's ID and how long it has been anchored, its version history, every bound work with its own dated record and evidence, whether the seller's channels are verified, and whether the character has been transferred before. That is the difference from a PSD in a DM — the buyer is not taking your word for any of it.

一個登記過的角色是一個角色包：定版的規格、參考圖、帶版本歷史的登記編號，以及每一件只綁在這隻角色上的作品——歌、影片、圖，各自帶著自己的著作紀錄。讓與時整包搬到買家帳號，移轉以有日期的事件寫在角色的公開頁上。授權時買家拿到一份副本和一個範圍——專屬或非專屬、做什麼用、多久——原件留在你這裡。同時綁在你多個角色上的作品留下不走；就是這條規則讓一筆交易不會把共用的歌一起帶走。賣角色時到底搬動什麼逐項列出。
三個步驟
- 刊登。把角色的市集模式從展示切成讓與或授權，填上開價和幣別。買家從角色頁上的對話串聯繫你；每個買家對每個角色一條串，整段歷史都在裡面。
- 草擬並簽署。從對話串開一筆交易。契約範本自動填入登記編號、規格指紋、綁定作品和價格；雙方改可談的部分，然後簽。簽署的文本算了指紋，之後動不了。談到一半你改了角色，草稿會升版、兩邊簽名都清掉——沒有人會替一個在腳下變過的角色包簽字。
- 付款並移轉。買家直接付給你——銀行、PayPal、你們談好的任何方式——然後回報；你確認。我們從不經手錢。確認之後角色包搬家、移轉事件寫入、紀錄當晚上鏈。雙方各拿到一份交易紀錄，含指紋、簽名和移轉。
費用
登記、刊登、對話串、草擬都不收費。角色成交時，賣方付成交價的 5%、最低 15 美元，作為放行移轉的手續費。沒有訂閱，作品、展示、沒發生的授權一律不收。一筆角色交易實際花多少和一般管道比過。
買家付錢前能查什麼
所有要緊的：角色的編號和上鏈多久了、版本歷史、每一件綁定作品各自的日期紀錄與佐證、賣方的管道有沒有驗證過、這個角色以前有沒有被移轉過。這就是和私訊裡一個 PSD 的差別——買家不必相信你的任何一句話。

Do you hold the money in escrow?你們會代管款項嗎？
No. The buyer pays the seller directly by whatever method they agree, then reports the payment; the seller confirms and pays the deal fee, and the transfer executes. We do not touch the price.
不會。買家用雙方談好的任何方式直接付給賣方，然後回報；賣方確認並付手續費，移轉執行。我們不碰價金。
Can I sell a work without a character?沒有角色的作品可以賣嗎？
Not through the deal room today. A public work has a contact button — buyers message you and you agree terms between yourselves. The deal room, contract templates and transfer are for characters.

What happens to the registry ID when I sell?賣出之後登記編號怎麼辦？
It moves with the character to the buyer, and the transfer is recorded as a dated event on the public page. The ID cannot be sold on its own or moved to a different character.
編號隨角色一起到買家那裡，移轉以有日期的事件記在公開頁上。編號不能單獨買賣，也不能移到別的角色上。
Can I sell the same character twice?同一個角色可以賣兩次嗎？
After an assignment the character is no longer in your account, so no. While a deal is signed and awaiting payment the character is locked against edits and other deals.
讓與之後角色已不在你帳號裡，所以不行。交易簽署後、付款前，角色鎖定，不能改也不能另開交易。
