What does a virtual singer's catalogue look like on a public page?

Your virtual singer has songs on Suno, music videos on YouTube and short clips on TikTok. Each platform shows its own slice, with its own upload date, and none of them says these songs all belong to one character. A public page on OpenStela is meant to be the catalogue that ties them together.

This post walks through that page: the five things a virtual singer's public page shows, what it keeps private, how we pick and credit the work we feature, and how someone who likes your singer can reach you. When singers are listed publicly on the market, our showcase posts will follow this same structure.

Why a showcase can only use public work

Everything we feature comes from one place: characters and works their holders have made public on OpenStela. That is not modesty, it is the licence. Section 4E of our Terms is the clause that lets us show a public character or work in posts promoting the service, credited by display name and linked to its public page. It covers what the holder made public, and only to the extent of the rights they hold. Nothing else.

That rules out a few tempting shortcuts:

  • Famous virtual singers. They are someone else's characters, often with their own licensing rules. They are not on our market, and a post that implies they are would be false.
  • Real people. No real singers, no voice actors, no recognisable faces. The rule applies even when the work is public somewhere else.
  • Private items. A character registered but not listed shows its ID and history to anyone who asks, but not its images or works. We do not feature it.

If a holder makes an item private or deletes it, we stop using it in new posts. If they want an existing post taken down, they email [email protected] and we remove it. That is the whole mechanism, and every showcase post ends by saying so.

The five things a singer's public page shows

Here is what a visitor sees on a public character page at app.openstela.io/c/<AVL ID>, read straight from what the page's data endpoint returns. For a virtual singer, this is the catalogue view.

  1. The character's ID and history. An AVL number, the date it was issued, and every version of her specification with its fingerprint and the date it went on chain. Sales, reversals and licences show up as dated events, with account names, not user IDs. A non-exclusive licence is labelled as non-exclusive, because a buyer needs to know whether they would be the only licensee.
  2. Her look, in outline. The reference images and the short list of visible markers that identify her. The full specification text and the per-platform prompts are not shown; the page says so in a line under the details.
  3. The works bound to her. Each song or video appears as a tile with its title, its registration date, its file or link fingerprint, and whether its record is already anchored or still waiting for the nightly batch. Open a tile and you are on that work's own page.
  4. Her channels. The places she publishes, shown as a row of buttons near the top. A channel the holder added but never verified says "self-declared". A channel that passed the optional check says "verified", with the date; verification expires and can be renewed. A work published on a verified channel can carry that fact into its own evidence; a self-declared one cannot.
  5. How she is listed. Showcase (not for sale, contact the holder if interested), assignment, exclusive licence or non-exclusive licence, with a price hint only when she is actually offered. Showcase is the default when a character is registered.

You can see the shape of this today on the demo character we registered ourselves, NIMBUS: one version, anchored on September 17, 2026, no works bound. It is not a singer, but the page layout is the same one a singer's would use.

What each song's own page adds

The character page is the catalogue. Each work page, at app.openstela.io/w/<id>, is the liner note. A song registered on OpenStela shows:

  • The attribution it was released under, the registration date, and the creation date the registrant claims, if they gave one.
  • Whether AI tools were used, which ones, and, if so, what the person contributed. For AI-generated work that field is required, and it goes into the record that is anchored.
  • The rights declaration: the registrant's own statement, and for music, both the composition and the recording.
  • The fingerprints of the file and of the authorship record, and whether that record is anchored yet.
  • Which characters it is bound to, each binding with its own date and fingerprint.
  • For links, where the page came from. A social post the platform could not read publicly is labelled as a link supplied by the author, not dressed up as a snapshot.

The work page also says, in plain words, what the record proves and what it does not: that this exact file existed from the registration date under the attribution shown, and not that the registrant is the author, not that the work infringes nothing, and not that it is a copyright registration. What an ID proves goes through those limits in more detail.

How the authorship record and the binding fit together is covered in My virtual singer has songs and videos. If her songs come from Suno, How to prove you made a Suno song is the place to start.

What stays private, even on a featured singer

A showcase post is a promotion, so it is worth being exact about what we never put in one, because the page itself never shows it:

  • The full specification and prompts. These are what a buyer receives on a sale. Public pages show identity, visible markers and the record, not the recipe.
  • Private notes on a work, the holder's internal user ID, and file paths.
  • Download links for files fetched from a source like Higgsfield. The record only says where it came from.
  • Anything about a sale's money. The price is settled between buyer and seller and does not pass through us.

If you hold a singer and want her featured, there is nothing to apply for. Keep her and the works you want seen public, and make sure the channels are the ones you actually control. We choose from what is public; we do not promise to choose any particular character.

How to reach the person behind a singer

Showcase posts link to the public page, and the public page is where contact happens.

  1. Open the character or work page from the post or from the market.
  2. Sign in. Reading a public page needs no account; contacting a holder does.
  3. Use the contact button. It opens a message thread between you and the holder. One character and one person share one thread, and if the two of you later open a deal, the same thread carries on into the deal room.
  4. For a song or video registered on its own, the work page has the same button and opens a thread about that work. Account-level works can be contacted about, not traded.

Asking costs nothing. If a deal goes ahead and reaches the transfer step, the seller pays a 5% fee with a $15 minimum, or a $3 minimum for a non-exclusive licence. Registration is free, up to 50 characters per account and 300 MB of uploaded works. What a sale actually costs has worked examples. The platform does not hold the payment and does not promise that any deal will happen.

公開角色頁的網址是 app.openstela.io/c/<AVL 編號>。

Questions

Why not feature famous virtual singers instead?

Because they are not on OpenStela, and they belong to other companies or creators. Section 4E only covers characters and works their holders made public on our service. Writing about someone else's character as if it were part of our catalogue would be misleading, and borrowing their images would not be ours to do.

If my singer is public, will you feature her?

Maybe. Being public is what makes a character eligible, not what selects it. If we do feature her, the post credits your display name and links to her public page. Making her private stops new posts, and an email to [email protected] removes an existing one.

Can a visitor see her spec or prompts from the public page?

No. The public page shows her ID, version history, reference images, visible markers, bound works and channels. The full specification text and platform prompts are delivered only to a buyer on a sale.

Does a featured page mean OpenStela vouches for the singer's songs?

No. A record says a particular file existed from a particular date under the name shown, and it records the registrant's own statements about rights and contribution. It does not say who the author is, and the platform does not judge whether a song is good, original or in her voice.
Everything featured on this blog comes from characters and works their holders made public on OpenStela, used under Terms §4E. If you are the holder and want a post removed, email [email protected] and we will take it down.
